Twilio Service Interruption

From our service provider:

Investigating - Our monitoring systems have detected a potential issue with SMS and MMS Delivery Delays to and from US AT&T. Our engineering team has been alerted and is actively investigating. We will update as soon as we have more information.

Impact:

ALL SMS (text message) communication between our system, its users and the Twilio service is experiencing diminished performance. This includes but is not limited to:

  • 2 Factor Authentication - used for

    • managerial changes

    • reward redemption

    • adding new users - phone verification

  • SMS notices and invitations

    • reward ready notices

    • notices to users about the system or activity on the system.

Expectations

Twilio is a Triple A, global service provider, as substantial as AT&T in the programmatic SMS sector. This issue impacts millions of their clients and their hundreds of millions of customers. They will not rest until this issue is resolved.
